Goal of Blog

I cant promise that I will post things on a weekly basis, but I will try to.

I plan to use this blog to keep family and friends updated as best as I can. As well as use this as my journal for documenting key parts of the trip.

I will be posting about what I see in do through photos and short blurbs in the middle section.

As I go along I will be adding/documenting/listing more detailed types of information with a theme. A simple example: Pictures of Roadside America or road kill tally while on bicycle.

If anyone has any knowledge or ideas for the asthetic of the blog. As well as things you would want me to add about my trip, please let me know.

Why?

Beyond the fact that I desire to travel, I thought it would be proper to give some reason and explanation for other's information. Because, some people dont understand why I am traveling or wounder why I would want to?

Maybe they dont understand because they have never traveled themselves. Maybe they never had the mean$, or did not have the notion to, or were scared to???

A great quote that my dad has told me: "What people are not up on, they are down on."

Meaning, people are more likely to react negatively toward what they personally do not know, have not experienced, and are unwilling to open their mind to. Instead of at least investigating or trying to have understanding, they do what what is familiar.

Why do I want to travel?

Because I love life! & I have life!

It is thrilling to explore my current surroundings as well as new ones, and see what is out there. I want be able to submerge myself in the community and different cultures, so I will have to do what the locals do. The kinds of people I surround myself with is important! Not only does it pertain to my experience, but also my safety.

Why am I traveling now?

If I dont do it now, I may not be able to later. And as I age I most certainly will not be able to travel in the same way I intend to. I may have a serious career where I make millions of dollars or I may have a husband to support and kids to raise.

I will at some point be working on more futuristic goals by staying in one place so I can get better at the things I enjoy, own land, have an edible garden, and attain a more lucrative means for what I need to survive, etc. It is satisfying to do what is necessary to achieve your goals.

My current goal right now is to travel. And maintaining a good level of productivity while doing so.

To summarize it all i will simply say:
There is so much to see, learn and do, and I would be a fool not to.

How?

One thing I want to incorporate is how I travel! Not just by alternative means of transportation & wise use of my resources. But I would like to also incorporate the community and entertainment aspect of my travels well. & the fact that you do not have to spend a lot of money to have fun.

So if you like the same things as I do: learning something new, making things, being productive, helping out, working on projects, getting sweaty, the outdoors, bikes & bike friendly community, music, art, yoga, potlucks, new foods, new philosophies and all around variety. Than you should most certainly follow my blog!
