Key Highlights of DC

Adams Morgan is the best area I have found so far. Ethnic foods  and restaurants on every street. Cheap and traditional.

Amsterdam Falafel : $4 and you get handed a falefel in wheat pita bread that you stuff yourself with items on the salad bar. A good variety of spicy sauces and pickled veggies.

MEEPS- the oldest vintage store in DC. Friendly/helpful store owner and staff. I sold some vintage clothing & jewelry  for $90 while lightening my load! plus i got a new pair of earrings.
I didnt say anything, but the money I got from my clothing and jewelry was definitely more than I originally spent, plus I got some wear out of the clothes. It helps when you shop at free markets, thrift stores, and you find and are given things.

Now I wont feel too bad about going to some shows while in DC. Some possibilities are: the Depeche Mode dance party, Archietchure in Helsinki, and Defiance Ohio though that is on the same night as Nat Baldwin.

There is a lot of great music coming through here. If most of these bands came through Charleston, people would flip and have to be at every show. But here, I feel like I actually get to be picky because there is so many options.
