Smalbany

I saw a decent show at Hudson Coffee House on Friday(7/22). It was free and I was excited to see so many good board games around. INNIS was my favorite, and they came from one of my favorite places New Paltz, NY.

Speaking of boardgames, everyone that I ran into in Albany was ready to play. No one hesitated for a second after I would suggest playing a board game. I learned some new ones: Puerto Rico and Killer Bunnies.

I did not intend to stay in Albany for as long as I did, but I liked it there a lot. They city was not thrilling and there was not much going on, but I met good people upon arriving. There was a real sense of community amongst various houses of kids wanting to make a difference. It instantly made me feel like I was back at home in Charleston, though the big difference was that people seemed to be less exclusive. Everyone was so friendly in that they were ready to pull you into their world.

My last day in Albany was spent at a potluck and playing kickball in the park!!
